Brochantite Mineral Specimens
This emerald green to greenish black hydrous copper sulfate is named for the French geologist A.J.M. Brochant de Villiers (1772-1840). Typically forming small, prismatic or acicular, transparent to translucent crystals, Brochantite is a secondary mineral found in oxidation zones of copper deposits, particularly in arid regions, and is found in many locations around the world.
