Unpolished lapidary rough rock cabbing slabs of Nephrite Jade ready to cut, shape, and polish. There are two jades: jadeite jade, from the pyroxene group, and nephrite jade, from the amphibole group. Both contain microcrystalline, fine-grained, interlocking or "matted" crystals and occur in a variety of colors. Nephrite is the more common of the two and is usually a spinach green. It is found in many locations, including Wyoming, Alaska, California, and Canada.
