Unpolished lapidary rough rock cabbing slabs of Gold Moss Agate, suitable for cutting en cabochon or free form. An agate is a variety of microcrystalline quartz which usually includes layers of different colors. Moss agate is a colorless, translucent chalcedony containing visible impurities that form dendritic shapes resembling moss. Although not banded, "agate" is still the name applied to this stone.
