Slabs of unpolished lapidary rock, variety Dendritic Agate, ready to cut en cabochon or free-form shape, and polish. Agate describes a variety of microcrystalline quartz whose forms include layers of different materials, from translucent to opaque, in a wide variety of colors. Moss agate is a colorless, translucent chalcedony containing visible impurities that form dendritic shapes resembling moss. Although not banded, this translucent chalcedony with the moss-like patterns is still considered an agate. Plume agate is a special kind of moss agate with "blooming" masses of dendrites. Also known as Parral Dendritic Agate from the city of Parral, state of Chihuahua, Mexico. The images depicted in the photographs below show the actual rock you will receive.
