As most of you are by now aware, we closed our retail location, Rocks, Etc. in New Braunfels, Texas, on December 29, 2007. We most sincerely thank you for your patronage of 15 years. We certainly hope you enjoyed our shop as much as we enjoyed presenting it to you. Anyone who has ever visited Rocks, Etc. is aware of the vast array of items we carry. We are hoping to post a huge number of those products on our website in the coming months and years. Please bear with us while we work through the initial transition period.

Our organization is a multi-generational, family-owned business. We have long been interested in the beauty of nature, particularly as it relates to rocks and minerals. Our devotion to the hobby of collecting rocks led us into lapidary work, where we engage in the cutting, shaping, and polishing of bookends, eggs, spheres, cabochons, and simply polishing a rock to showcase its beauty. Our interests extend to gaining a greater appreciation for the plant and animal life that heretofore existed on this planet, so we have a fairly diverse collection of fossils. We also collect artifacts left behind by the earliest peoples that inhabited Texas, primarily, but some items from neighboring states, also. We began collecting for fun and we’re still having a blast. Not a day goes by that we don't learn something new.
